Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is used in the
treatment of many mental illnesses, as well as for research
in mental illnesses (Altınbaş et al. 2007, Yıldız et al. 2015).
Intermittent Theta Burst Stimulation (iTBS) is a treatment
protocol that is applied with 10 - 20 Hz and has a similar
effect to Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
(rTMS) (Blumberger et al. 2018). The FDA approved the
standard iTBS protocol in 2018 to treat treatment-resistant
depression.
